Euroislam wspiera Geerta Wildersa

Dżihad przeciw Wildersowi
| 28 komentarzy|

Oskarża się go o obrazę islamu ( porównanie Koranu do Mein Kampf).

Dear Sirs,

SinceI am very interested in development of radical Islam in Western Europe, shockingly I found out, that You are going to prosecute Geert Wilders, who has the courage to rise the concern and express the critics of Islam. The criticism is the basis of the European identity, and the motor of European development.

I do not understand how in liberal country as I consider Netherlands, is it possible to prosecute anyone for expressing his concern and in fact to limit OUR freedom of expression? Wilders’ concerns about Quran as a book of hatred are very well justified in the book itself. This book permits to kill people of other faith; grants women lesser status; it is the basis for judicial system with barbaric penalties. And although it is not our task to interpret the Quran, we cannot be blind for what is done in its name and is corresponding with certain verses of that book as well as with prophet Muhammad life stories.

Not so many years ago, in 2006, Council of Europe has expressed its clear statement regarding relations between freedom of expression and religious tolerance. Resolution 1510, let me cite it for You:

“The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe reaffirms that there cannot be a democratic society without the fundamental right to freedom of expression. The progress of society and the development of every individual depend on the possibility of receiving and imparting information and ideas. This freedom is not only applicable to expressions that are favorably received or regarded as inoffensive but also to those that may shock, offend or disturb the state or any sector of the population, in accordance with Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ETS No. 5).”

And further:

“Attacks on individuals on grounds of their religion or race cannot be permitted but blasphemy laws should not be used to curtail freedom of expression and thought.”

“The Assembly recalls that laws punishing blasphemy and criticism of religious practices and dogmas have often had a negative impact on scientific and social progress.”

“The Assembly also recalls that the culture of critical dispute and artistic freedom has a long tradition in Europe and is considered as positive and even necessary for individual and social progress. Only totalitarian systems of power fear them. Critical dispute, satire, humour and artistic expression should, therefore, enjoy a wider degree of freedom of expression and recourse to exaggeration should not be seen as provocation.”

Those words where response to riots that erupted after publication of Muhammad Cartoons. Symptomatic is that in days when You are going to prosecute Geert Wilders for offending Islam, police shot down Somali Muslim immigrant, who was trying to break into house of Cartoons’ author, probably with the aim of killing the cartoonist.

Considering above mentioned reasons please be sure that in case of condemnatory sentence for Geert Wilders, I will do anything what is possible to help bringing that judgment to the European Court of Human Rights. Actually ECHR in its judgments  (case Refah Partisi vs Turkey) does not hesitate to claim that “sharia [religious law based on Quran and hadiths] is incompatible with basic principles of democracy [freedom of expression, freedom of belief, equality],” why Geert Wilders cannot maintain the same opinion?

Sincerely Yours

William Ewart Gladstone (1809–1898), Prime Minister of Great Britain four times: He called the Quran an “accursed book” and once held it up during a session of Parliament, declaring: “So long as there is this book there will be no peace in the world.”

Mark Twain: ” When I, a thoughtful and unblessed Presbyterian, examine the Koran, I know that beyond any question every Mohammedan is insane, not in all things, but in religious matters. I cannot prove to him that he is insane, because you never can prove anything to a lunatic — for that is a part of his insanity and the evidence of it”.

Winston Churchill: “In truth though, just as the British stoicism recalls the same from 65 years ago, so too, there is a deep and instructive similarity between the Nazis and the Islamic-fascist forces that attacked then and attack today. The fact of the matter is that even more important than invoking the famous British “stiff upper lip,” to fight this current war to victory requires understanding and accepting the similarities between the Nazis and the Arab-Islamic terrorist armies.”
